Fashion Show

Fashion Show 2005
On November 17, the Coalition for Clean Air held the California Market Center's Fashion Theater for its third annual fashion show. The show featured elected officials-- from city councilmembers to senators-- as models for a collection of eco-friendly clothing, all in support of our work to restore clean, healthful air to California. World's first ever electrified (AMP) container terminal unveiled at the port of Los Angeles' China Shipping Terminal.
The Port of Los Angeles opened the world's first electrified container terminal where ships can plug into dockside power while at berth - a practice called "cold ironing" - instead of continuously running their dirty diesel engines to generate electricity. Ships at berth in the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach annually generate more than 4,000 tons of smog-forming nitrogen oxide pollution.
