Coalition for Clean Air (CCA) is the only statewide nonprofit organization advocating exclusively for clean air in California. Position Summary

CCA seeks an Administrative Associate to work in its Los Angeles headquarters.  Primary responsibilities include administrative and communications support for staff, human resources coordination, and intern and volunteer management. The Administrative Associate reports to and works directly with the Executive Director. General job responsibilities are outlined below, though other duties may be required as needed.

Administrative Assistance

  • Offer administrative assistance for CCA offices, including scheduling and event logistics
  • Assist Executive Director, other staff and CCA Board of Directors with correspondence, materials preparation and paperwork
  • Coordinate with IT vendors
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment
  • Provide reception (at LA office) and response to general inquiries

Human Resources Coordination

  • Maintain and facilitate personnel records and paperwork; keep all administrative forms and policies updated
  • Oversee employee benefits, and serve as staff’s point person on issues related to benefits

Intern and Volunteer Management

  • Recruit interns and volunteers, and provide them orientation and in-office support

Skill and Knowledge Requirements

  • Full-time experience with relevant responsibilities
  • Superior performance and work ethic, with meticulous attention to accuracy/detail
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and carry out multiple tasks requiring rapid  turnaround
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Interest in environmental issues and nonprofit experience are pluses
