Clean Air - Always in Fashion

With songs like Joan Jett’s I Love Rock N’Roll blaring in the background, more than 30 of California’s supermodel elected officials strutted down the runway at the Coalition for Clean Air’s second annual fashion show, Clean Air- Always in Fashion. Held at the California Market Center’s Fashion Theater in downtown Los Angeles, the event featured the latest garments from environmentally-responsible designers and clothing companies. Backstage, makeup artists from Aveda styled the elected officials. Los Angeles Times columnist Patt Morrison provided fashion commentary, and after the show, the fashions were auctioned to benefit the Coalition for Clean Air.

“The Coalition for Clean Air is an incredible and needed force in fighting for our environment. I was thrilled to be part of this extremely worthwhile – and fun – evening,” said City Controller Laura Chick, whose performance received wild applause.
