Clean Air- Always in Fashion: our second annual fashion show with elected officials

Please join the Coalition for Clean Air, our friends and supporters as we applaud some of California’s top public officials, modeling the latest fashions by premier and environmentally-responsible designers and clothing companies.

Show location: California Market Center's Fashion Theater, 110 E. 9th St, Los Angeles, CA 90079. The Center is located between Olympic and Main St. on 9th Street. The parking rate is $6 after 5 pm. The main parking garage is located underneath the building, with parking entrances on Main Street and Los Angeles Street. The Olympic parking structure is located across from the California Market Center on Olympic. Garages close at 10:30 pm.

The Coalition for Clean Air's fashion show, featuring top California elected officials as models for garments made of organic cotton and other environmentally-friendly fabrics, debuted in December 2003. The event was a huge success, with our "models" giving the audience a great show, and buyers eager to bid on the environmentally-friendly outfits. This year's show, on December 9th, will be even bigger and better- contact us now to learn about opportunities to participate or to purchase tickets.

We'll be showcasing the top designers of environmentally-friendly fashions.

“I’ve always been prepared to take the necessary steps to clean up our air. But until I participated in the Coalition for Clean Air’s fashion show, I never knew that those steps led to the end of a catwalk! The show is like no other event, in the environmental world or the fashion scene. I can’t wait to do it again.”

-Los Angeles Councilmember Eric Garcetti about last year’s event, our first annual fashion show for cleaning California’s air.

“The Coalition for Clean Air has been a wonderful partner on the clean air issues I’ve been working on. The fashion show last year was great fun and a real change of pace from life in the Capitol. It was also a novel way to continue educating people on how the choices they make, including in the clothes that they buy, can help clean up our environment.”

-CA Assembly Member Fran Pavley
