UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE INTERN OPPORTUNITIES

Every quarter or semester, the Coalition for Clean Air offers research and legislative internships to undergraduate or graduate students interested in pursuing a career dedicated to the protection of the environment. Research interns are expected to conduct analysis in support of CCA's current campaign work, draft policy position papers as necessary, provide research and analysis on regulatory actions and occasionally assist staff in developing reports for public distribution.

Legislative interns are expected to conduct legislative analysis, research and track bills, craft position letters to the state legislature, request and coordinate meetings with legislative staff, attend legislative meeting and hearings, work to develop broad support for key legislative and campaign priorities, participate in meetings with other organizations, and help maintain a database of legislative priorities.

The Communications intern assists the Deputy Director of Communications. Duties may include: tracking media coverage, using CCA's electronic media tracking service and the Internet, maintaining the CCA media directory, assisting with media inquiries and research, assisting with writing and reviewing of fact sheets and web updates, assisting with press conferences and special events, writing and editing e-newsletter and print newsletter stories, and maintaining press kits.
