On March 11, 2009, Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg raised a glass of wine to promoting clean air at CCA’s A Toast to Clearing the Air reception. He was joined by 140 of Sacramento’s political, business, environmental and civic leaders, who enjoyed the rare opportunity to sample local wines, hors d’oeuvres and desserts while discussing California’s air policies. This first-time event in Sacramento raised $45,000—a valuable contribution to CCA’s work in reducing air pollution through advocacy, outreach and education.
